Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Salad: A Flavorful Celebration of Summer | The Food Diaries

Welcome back to my Summer Salad Series! Today, I have the extreme pleasure of sharing with you this really beautiful and seriously delicious Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Salad, featuring some of the best things from summer.Ingredients:
- 4 heirloom tomatoes, sliced
- 1 ball of burrata cheese
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Fresh basil leaves, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
- Arrange the tomato slices on a large serving platter or individual plate.
- Cut the burrata cheese into pieces and place them over the tomatoes.
- Drizzle with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- If desired, garnish with chopped fresh basil.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Tips and Variations:
- Add a nice crunch with some toasted bread croutons or crispy prosciutto.
- Make without burrata; use mozzarella or feta instead.
- This salad makes an excellent side dish for grilled meats or a light lunch.
